Welcome to my Nightmare

If you didn't see this coming, you haven't been paying attention. A remake/reboot of Nightmare on Elm Street is on the way. And who's going to play Mr. Krueger? Well the rumor now is this dude:
Haley Joel Osment. Just kidding. But he also has a presidential assasin name, Jackie Earle Haley.
You may remember him as bad ass Kelly Leak from The Bad News Bears or perhaps from his upcoming role as Rorschach a.k.a Walkter Kovacs from Watchmen . Of course, rumors also had it that Billy Bob Thorton was in talks to play Freddy.
Can I just say how unhappy I am with all this? Just the fact of all these damn remake/reboots pouring out of Hollywood is enough to irk me but to touch my precious Freddy? C'MON! It's one thing to remake a movie about some silent, hulking stalker in a mask but this is Freddy Fucking Krueger and Freddy Fucking Krueger means one thing: Robert Fucking Englund.

If only this was a dream...
